Caring For Your Dentures

Daily cleaning with a soft brush and a professional denture cleaner,will assist in keeping your dentures clean and comfortable.

To ensure that you are in good oral health it is necessary to return to your Denturist for an examination every year. The Denturist will examine your denture for wear and fit and complete an oral examination.

As a rule of thumb, you should establish the following routine:

  • Have your dentures checked annually.
  • Reline your dentures every 2 to 3 years.
  • Replace your dentures every 5 to 6 years, depending on the amount of wear on the teeth and the shrinkage of your gums.

Gerry Lee-Kwen is a perfectionist in his practice and a gentleman with his patients. Our elderly aunt had put off getting major work done until she had no choice. Gerry put her at ease on the first visit and has been so kind to her at every appointment. He took the time to explain what needed to be done, gave her a few options and patiently walked her through every stage of the procedure, so that she felt at ease and comfortable in his care. His receptionist is also very kind, welcoming and supportive in her role. Can’t thank Sunset Denture Clinic enough for making the experience for my aunt a 5/5.
